I have blogged about my children in the past.  For some reason lately, I have really thought of what they truly mean to me.  Taylor is 15.  He astounds me by how much of a man he is becoming on a daily basis. I think the part of him that I love most is …. Taylor TRULY loves his Mama  :)  and that makes me smile. If I am lucky, I will have him for 4 more years under my roof.  In the grand scheme of things, that is not long.  It scares me.  The world scares me.  My not being RIGHT THERE to make sure all is okay….it seriously scares me.  I believe with all my heart I have taught my children right from wrong.  I have passed on the moral values my wonderful parents instilled in me.  That part of the process gives me a sense of peace; however (and that’s a BIG however) what about every one else.  I believe God only allows us to borrow these beautiful babies to raise in his ways.  They ultimately belong to Him.  Thank you God for my babies.  You have truly blessed me. Taylor, my baby boy, you are MY blessing.

Mallie Anne (as I have always called her) is my baby girl.  She is a beautiful on the inside and out.  She makes me proud every day.  You must be tired of seeing her on the blog, as I shoot her (it seems) incessantly.  She is one of my favorite subjects. I see SO much of myself in her ways. Honestly….it amazes me and scares me silly.  My mom always told me you receive payback from your children for YOUR misdeeds as a child/teen.   Mallie  is 13..WoooHoooo….Let the GAMES begin, and God give me strength and patience…I plan on having her under my roof for AT LEAST six more years.  She (like myself) is a force to be reckoned with….(isn’t the first step admitting it?)  She is head strong, intelligent, outspoken and beautiful. I beg and pray that she uses her talents to always work hard and diligently to be the best at everything she wants to achieve.  Mallie Anne, you are my sunshine.

 For those who know me, I LiVe in linen and flip flops for 3 of 4 seasons.  :)  I am all about comfort, and linen and flip flops are at the top of the comfort spectrum. I absolutely adore this time of year. The grass is waking up from hibernation, and the Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom. They remind me of white fluffy clouds, and they are everywhere! The daffodils are in abundance, and I am smiling. The time changed last night, so I will now have more shooting time. That makes me happy. Sunrise and Sunset….my two favorite times of the day to shoot. My son, Taylor, wanted to take his girlfriend, Eladia, and Mallie downtown this past Friday for a QUICK photo shoot. Eladia is a DOLL! She has the most gorgeous skin, and the sweetest personality! She is a musician, and she aspires to attend The Julliard School. I LoVe her! Well, we ALL love her!

My beautiful daughter, Mallie, and I spent about 30 minutes this afternoon playing around with the camera. Today was absolutely gorgeous and my birthday. Well, because of that….I got my way!   Mallie is 13.  She is just as beautiful on the inside as she is to my eyes. My favorite is her laugh. It is infectious. Jon Greer

I am a bit overwhelmed by the new addition to my family.  No, the sleeping angel pictured above is not what overwhelms me.  It is my new camera.  The bundle of love in the picture is my nephew, Jon Greer.  I am sure you will get to know him lots and lots over time.   Back to the camera report…Truthfully, I have not had a TRUE piece of majesty in my hands in years.  Long ago in a land far away….okay, okay….I was here. In Louisiana. In West Monroe, but regardless I did photography.  So, I said that to say I am not a newbie to the world of photography, but in a way I AM a total newbie.  I shot when everyone used film.  I know, I know, but it wasn’t THAT long ago.  The digital world is all new to me.  a majestic sea of technology ~ a plethora of lots and lots to learn.  I can hardly wait.
